the stage was like our haven,
a place we immediately felt at home
we could dance all day n night
the unspeakable joy it brings
priceless.
it was a great show, and i couldnt be more proud really :)
i guess skipping school for 4 days was worth it afterall cos those full day practises really made as more confident and i guess we managed to shine..judging from the positive comments!
after months of hard work, sacrifices, n severe accumulation of bruises, the alumni just cried together on stage after finale item when yang lao shi herself cried n said she was really touched by the alumni efforts n performance. It was indeed one rare occassion where i felt this unison strong rush of emotions, i was reallyreally moved for i know, each n everyone of us danced our hearts out tt very night.
i admit this dance performance really pushed me to my limits cos out of the 6 items, i was performing in items 2,4 and 6. It was REALLY tiring..coupled with the anxiousness having to change from one costume to another. And the items were abt 15mins each so yups, stamina! but im proud of myself cos i survived..n somehow, i've fallen in love with contemporary dance even more :) yang laoshi is indeed a star teacher..n so is her husband :)
Despite having injured myself just the night before the actual performance, i thank god for taking me through this rough times time and again :) for allowing me to meet wonderful p'ple who share the same passion, who love n care for me..special thanks to those who took time to come down to support the concert and my closer alumni friends like rouchi, florence, wings & peiru who made practices should an enjoyable one! Thank you for the continual motivation..they mean alot to me. And also, for the smooth performance. The chair i feared so much didnt played me out in the end! :D (u know actually during one of the rehearsals, on of the chairs broke into half?? imagine how scared i was! the chairs r REALLY old btw. used it since SYF in 2005!)

thankyou for all the little gifts! its the first time i received so many flowers n i mean SOOO MANY! i really had a hard time carrying them all home but heh. i love flowers n so thankew very much :D:D
Now its back to reality, projects n more projects :( yuck.
