so yesterday night was the dance audition. it was contemp/modern + jazz. guess who's the dance instructor for the auditions? media corp artiste , yutaki from Light Years! (which made me dam SCARED..not scared lah, just doubly more pressured :/)

warm-ups were almost exactly like hamzah's jazz class (ie the one i learn outside). and indeed when i spoke to Yutaki, his jazz teacher was frm NUS dance ensemble which is also hamzah's dance teacher! small world huh. but the warm up music was...queer. but really very jazzy, those u hear in pubs..im beginning to like jazz alot bcos its not only graceful in some way, but very elegant & sensual at the same time:) i love exotic stuff :P

okie so we tried steps for the upcoming performance cheorographed by Yutaki. thanks to AJ dance for their modern/contemp guidance + hamzah for his jazz teachniques, it wasn't too difficult for me learning the dance. and so it was auditions shortly after that. i was up 1st, which made me SUPER NERVOUS MY GOODNESS. everyone was watching. i would say abt 20-30 p'ple there. UAN artiste frm drama n music + managers of UAN. n to make things worst, Yutaki all of a sudden said i haf to freestyle when the music is played. (as in listen to the music and feel for it, and then come out wif movements tt suit the music) i was stunned, my mind was lyk 'OMG? huh'. n mind you, the music is..weird. okay, AJ dancers might noe this..its the typical SYF dance which is very mysterious. n this piece is entitled 'rebirth'. so i did some impromtu stuff frm SYF + some other ballet steps (i tried to play a role of a girl who just woken up frm her sleep and she was in search of something. n started spinning to show she's lost in dreamland. HAHAHA. so drama mama :X )

after all the waiting & auditions, i got in! yeah, so i was offered a dance project. im really excited though..cos dey say onces ur in, u'll be in their 'dance list' and in future any roadshows or adverts tt require dance, u'll be referred. (but of cos not 100% will get in, its by auditions & if the commercial director lyks u)

but anyway, thanks to the p'ple who have been really supportive of me during this entire thing. my neighbours (who say i MUST mention their names if im even interviewed by media cos dey wanna be KNOWN. HAHAHHA one even aspire to be in FHM magazine? HAHAH omg.) cousin (who can't wait to see me on TV. erm wait LONGLONG REALLY.), daddy(who got me thinking abt the pros & cons), my close frens & darling. well i guess i'll take this challenge up. no harm anyway since im still young & shld maximise this privilledge given!:) performance shld be in dec, details up soon :)
