helloes(:
my internet is finally alrite. currently using the singnet wireless..supposed to be faster.
2day was especially meaningful tho it cld haf been better. rushed down to the grassroot club wif siew hui in the midst of dance to attend this 'career in the social service' seminar. was pretty upset tt i had to miss the 1st half of the prog cos i wld haf prob missed the impt imformation frm the talks by the professionals. ah wells..but nonetheless it was great on the whole!
we went into the room when everyone was in the midst of the DISC personality test. so we started doing ours.. actually i've done tis once b4..but aniwae, im a S/I. hah. then it was lunch. went to speak some psychologist p'ple..but tis man was apparently a doctor, n i oso spoke to tis counsellor abt wad to study n all. i kinda realise tt there'll b a long way ahead if i study psychology as if im going thru nus, den overseas, i'll b so old by then. haha den darling has to wait for me..wich i tink will spoil our future in some ways. im kinda confused as to whether to study psychology or social work..cos i love the job nature for both..just that one is more specific. so i might study social wk eventually n specialise when i work.
one of the progs for the seminar was a trip to 2 VWOs. (volunteer welfare org.) i was extremely touched by what i saw..esp @ the Lions Home and tt drove me even more to what i dream of doing. the staff @ the lions home were so passionate in their love for the needy..deeply touched my heart. to be able to haf a positive impact on one's life is indeed a good take away in a job. i understand tt tis kinda job do not bring u much income..but i wld sae its enuff for me to survive n live an avrg live (: -i trust my darling will b a rich man. im kidding:D a simple life wld do! happiness is more impt isn't?- tink of it, theres no other job tt can gif u such satisfaction of gifing..to change someone's life(:
im glad i cld go on the trip. i got some name cards here n dere. was tinking of getting an attachment in social wk after the As cos got 6mths break..will contact them soon(:
